WebFeb 17, 2009 · Canola oil has a high flame point (close to 300 C/ 570 F, in open bath, I´ve heard). I will seldom use higher temp than 220 C/430 F. The bath is a vertical tube, some 25 cm/10" diameter and 120 cm/50" tall. It will take about 30 liters of oil. A quick calculation gives me an effect of 15-18 KiloWatt, if I am to reach temperature in half an hour.
