WebI have a 50cc scooter gy6 and it dies when stopping at traffic lights or when idle in general. it has a brand new carburator. Things I have noticed: When it is cold it does not do it that often but when it warms up it does it quite a lot more. When I try to start it back up, it does not start unless I use the throttle. Web28 Jun 2024 · That's a bowl drain. If there's a screw on the hose or beside the hose, tighten it to stop the flow. If you don't the bowl is draining the fuel that gets into it. So your petcock shuts off fuel when the engine isn't running, that's why it would only overflow while running or maybe briefly after. Only fires if the choke is full and I spray starter fluid into the front intake; revs high, then idles for a while, then dies.
